My approach to wedding photography
Over the last 6 years as a wedding photographer I have honed not only my craft but also my process and approach to wedding photography. I whole-heartedly believe that each couple deserves so much more than just pretty photos from their day.
It is important to me that we develop a great relationship and friendship together.
Having a personal relationship with my clients builds our connection and trust and will ultimately lead to more powerful storytelling images on your wedding day as you are able to fully relax and let your guard down in front of the camera. Your comfort and experience is important to me.
I also prioritize putting tangible art pieces into your hands. Luxurious albums and beautifully designed wall art are one of the few investments that will only grow in value over time.

Each wedding gallery receives careful attention from the image selection process all the way through the final album design.
During the 8-10 week period of time between your wedding and your reveal session, your images are being edited thoughtfully to reflect the style of your wedding, your relationship, and who you are as individuals.

There is no better way to preserve, cherish, and honor your wedding images than in a custom-designed, luxurious album. When you hold your wedding album in your hands and carefully look through every page, the images truly come to life. Viewing your images in print, feeling the softness of the pages, the smell of the leather or linen, and the sound as you turn each page, gently revealing the next part of your story, is an experience unmatched through any other medium.
It is for this reason that every single one of my wedding collections includes a custom-designed wedding album. It's your album that will be your go-to when you want to show friends and family your wedding photos. It is your album that your future children will ask to look at over and over. PRINTS & CANVASES
The retainer will secure your date and give you the peace of mind that your wedding photography is taken care of.
The retainer for each wedding collection including elopements is $1000 and will be applied to your overall collection cost. This fee is non-refundable.
WHAT IS THE RETAINER FEE?

Approximately 8-10 weeks after your wedding, I will invite you and any friends or family you wish to include to my studio for your private in-person reveal session. We will order food and reminisce on your day!
We will start by crying happy tears while watching your wedding day slideshow. Then we will look one by one through all of your images (around 1,000). We will then dive into your album design.
After this meeting you will receive your full gallery online of digital files that you can download and backup for archival purposes.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?

The studio retains the copyright to all images. This means that Stephanie Wood Photography technically "owns" all of the images. When you receive your digital images you are receiving a license of the work.
What does this mean for you exactly? That you will be able to print and share a licensed copy of your images for personal use, but that the original images are owned by the studio.
WHAT IS A COPYRIGHT AND CAN I PRINT MY IMAGES ANWHERE I WANT?

You can expect a next-day sneak peek from your wedding or session on social media.
Due to the extra care and attention that your photos will receive, your full reveal session will be scheduled as follows:
-2 weeks for portrait and Engagement Sessions
-8-10 weeks for Weddings

High resolution means the images are printable at any size. Low resolution images will not lose any image quality, but are intended for social media use only.

Due to the limited number of weddings I take per year, dates fill fast. Don't wait to reach out and see if your date is available. Better yet, reach out prior to locking in your wedding date for the best chance at us working together.

The next step is getting to know each other. I will not book a wedding without at the very least being able to chat over the phone with you. I put such a great emphasis on relationship building with my couples that it's important we have a great connection.
